Default Engine Coolant Flush Process

I have a 2006 Pilot that needs a coolant flush. I put a few cups of incorrect antifreeze into the reservoir tank. Dumb mistake. What is the correct process to flush out the system? How much fluid is necessary to purchase for this procedure?

Thanks

What type did you put in?

How many miles are on the Pilot?

The vehicle as 32K miles. I used an old bottle of Peak which contains silicates. The manual states this is a no-no.

If you just added a bit to your plastic expansion tank, and it has been in there a short time, chances are very little has made its way to the cooling system. In this case I would just flush out the plastic expansion tank with a hose, and refill to the mark with the Honda 50/50 antifreeze.

If, however, you opened the radiator, and added the Prestone there, I would drain and refill the entire cooling system 3 times, using the approved fluid. That way you would be assured all traces of the Prestone are gone.

Once the cooling system has purged itself of air (5 0r 6 heating/cooling cycles) hardly any fluid makes it from the plastic expansion/fill tank to the radiator.

So what is the proper procedure for draining and filling the cooling system? The fluid has been in for awhile.

Edit:
This post has been up for a few days. I figured someone here would know the answer. Can anyone recommend a resource other than buying a service manual to get the answer?

Thanks
