Might be useful to add the year of your Pilot due to design changes that took place

Should the intake manifold cover gaskets & spacer gaskets be replaced, too? (3 gaskets total)

Thanks for posting the parts list. If I can't make a deal on an 09 soon (I've been trying for three months; trade in amount is the problem) I'll keep my 04 Pilot for a couple of more years and will need to do the 105 k maintenance; currently at 90k. I have zero mechanical skill so will have the work done at a Honda dealer.

Hey guys. Did this back in the winter. Actually did all but the valves and belt at 105K and then finshed - at over 142K I am sad to say. Belt looked great. Tensioner had been replaced on recall back some time ago. Water pump looked great too. All the exhaust valves needed adjustment but the intakes were ok (exhaust hotter of course). U do need to take off the intake and replace the gaskets (it has a spacer and uses 2 of the same part #). Also need the upper cover gasket. Only about $40 for all plus s and h from Majestic. Belts can be obtained at any parts store. Need to replace all at that time too. You will need the special tool referred to in the manual, as you cannot get the crank bolt out without it. Mine was in there such that I had to wedge the tool and ratchet holding the it against the frame and crank over engine (pull the ignition fuse 1st!) while I held the other with my foot to break loose. Be sure you set them correctly - clockwise and counterclockwise so that the engine turning does it. You dont need a press to reset the adjustor either - you can find a solid part of the frame and use a jack to press it back down. You must have a really solid pin for it too. Dont even attempt this job if you dont have the service manual. And it takes a while - esp if you are careful by nature and not familiar with the procedure. Post back any questions and I will answer.
