Default Just hitting 30K on my Pilot

Yeah, I know, it's 2009, and I'm just hitting 30K. My wife used it around town for a while, we use it on vacation, and it is always garaged in VA. but I sold my Prius and we only have the two vehicles now, so the Pilot is MINE!

So, would you follow the EXTREME maintenance since the passing of time (4 Yrs) or the normal 30k?

In my mind, I'm going to change the ATF, coolant, bleed the brakes, check the brakes, change both cabin and engine filters.

Anything I'm missing changing? I'll do all the inspections while I'm at it.

I called the dealer and asked what an ATF change would be. $150 ??? I only call them to make myself feel good doing it myself

I'll do everything but tackle a Timingbelt/Waterpump change.

Coolant is to be replaced at 105K miles, not 30K like typical cars.

So you don't think the time since last change matters then?

You may have only done 30 k in four years but if those journey's are long enough to warm the car properly, use the regular 30k service schedule.

You should oil/filter change, air filter changes, VTM4 fluid. Check brakes, rotate tires.
ATF is due at 45k, but thats the only fluid I change more frequently than specc'd, at 22500.

Lets just say, 64k on the clock sorry digitial readout, and I swear the Pilot is running better than it ever has

Well, I go by what the manual says. IIRC it states 10 years or 105K miles.

Thanks, I'll hold on the coolant then.
