Default 100,000 miles on 05' Pilot EXL

I'm considering purchasing a 2005 Pilot EXL with 93,000 miles... This is higher mileage than I would typically want on a used vehicle but the Pilot's reliability reputation has me thinking it over. I would love to hear from anyone driving an 05 with six figures on the odometer. I'm concerned about potential high cost maintenance that might be around the corner. Thanks!

I have a 03 Pilot, with 113,500 miles on it. At 100,000 miles, you are looking at a timing belt change out, with a new water pump, might as well do both when you are there. Flushing the transmission, power steering , brakes and maybe new brake pads. Put all this together and you are looking at 1500.00 at a dealership, have a reliable mechanic put it around 1200.00. I am on my second set of new brake pads at 113,000, original rotors still going strong. Oh, I forgot the cabin air filter, 70.00 dollars at the dealer, way less it you do it yourself. I going to keep this Pilot for 200,000 miles for sure. Hope this helps you? Does the original owner have records of the maintenance they performed, this might cut the cost.

I personally own a 2004 Pilot EXL with Navi with a total of 80 K on it at time of purchase. My Pilot still runs great. Just make sure you flush the fluids, and change the trannny fluid and differential fluids.

Pilots in general are highly reliable and their maintience job isn't too bad.
