Default Uh Oh!

Time for the timing belt/water pump/spark plug/everything else service. Went in and was quoted $1000 for this. Got a call a few hours later and they found 2 broken motor mounts, and a bad hydraulic lifter of some sort. Walked out paying $1400. Joy...

Don't you mean 1.05 cents?

Show the math. You don't get credit unless you show your work

I'm about to take my '03 in for timing belt. The dealer near me quoted me under $700 which includes water pump, gaskets and all new engine belts. What sucks is that this is an easy job for me to do but I just don't have the time to get it done!

I can't believe how easy the plugs were to change on this vehicle. There actually was plenty of room in the engine bay area to work in. I took care of that last week and it's now at the dealer getting timing belt service. They gave me a free loaner, '09 Pilot. I am so disappointed in the new Pilot. I really thought I was going to hate mine after driving the '09 but not the case. I am actually looking forward to driving my '03 again. The '09 just feels like a mid size cargo van. It's so big but so confined, if that makes sense.

I once changed the plugs on my '81 Accord and two days later I had to have the carb rebuilt. I guess I gapped the plugs wrong? Seemed prettty simple, but I guess a job too big for me. I've been reluctant to try it again...

There is no way you could have caused the carb to need rebuilding.

Shows how much I know about this. Guess it was a coincidence. Figured the plugs fowled the carb.
