Default 2007 Transmission fluid DIY

Can anyone point me to a DIY for 2007 transmission fluid change? I'm wondering about filters, type and amount of fluid, special draining and refilling procedures, etc?

"07 is probably just like the '04, which I have.

1. No filter to change, ever.....
2. Amount that drains out will be between 3 1/2 quarts up to 4 1/2 quarts ( which is how much I got out a few months back when I did my own change). Buy 5 quarts just to be safe.
3. Only, only buy Honda genuine ATF. It's pricey, but others on this board who have used other fluid have reported problems.
4. Loosen the fill bolt first, then the drain bolt last. That is just in case there is a problem getting the fill bolt loose. On the early models, owners had a recall done which effectively blocked the fill bolt. Owners were forced to use the dipstick hole to slowly fill back up. On my '04, there was no recall for my vin#, so I can use my fill hole. Not sure where the fill bolt is on the '07s.

Do a search for transmission fill bolt and you'll find some pics ( I took one of them ) to get you to find the fill bolt. On my 04, it is basically under the brake master cylinder, with a painted while mark on the top.

I've done about 4 changes cause' I tow a boat with my Pilot. Each time, I measure what comes out and put exactly that much back in. Never had a problem.

Read your owners manual and combine the instructions with my suggestions, and you'll be fine.

Don't want to thread-drift too much here, but..... I was swimming yesterday and am about to go out again with my 8 yr old swimming now. We are fortunate to have bought a home with a pool with a heater.

The outside temp yesterday was 80 degrees. The pool was 63 degrees. Turned on the heater and got it up to about 85, which is perfect. Natural gas isn't too expensive, so we heat our pool once a month during the cold months.

It is however too cold to go water skiing

Funny how I'm planning a 800 mile drive, each way, to Ruidoso New Mexico to find some snow. Driving to the cold?? I know, crazy....

Driving back from getting donuts today and saw people mowing the grass, lounging in open garages, sitting on chairs in shorts and wearing short sleeve shirts, babies in playpens wearing only diapers and t

Cold front coming though and the high on Sunday is supposed to be mid 40's.

Back on track......

That tells you all you need to know.

I haven't seen on any other posts exactly where the transmission fill hole is located. Any clues for my 2007?

I think the 06 is same as your 07 ... here is the answer in

Question
Where do you add transmission fluid on a 2006 Honda Pilot EX 4WD?

Answer
Find the black tube that connects the air filter housing to the engine, under that and on top of the transmisson there is a gold bolt, 17mm, remove that then use a long funnel and fill it up
