Default Honda coolant life

Does anyone know how long Honda antifreeze (OEM) last? Is it the regular type (2-3 yrs), or the long-life type (5 yrs)?

120kmiles or 10 years then every 60k or 5 years after that.

What strikes me as odd is that why not replace it at the same time you are doing the water pump/timing belt at 105k?

After all you drain a good amount of fluid then....

10 yrs? That really surprised me. Does it say this on the owner's manual?

I just realized you have a 2009. I gave you data for a 2005.

With the Maintenance minder its symbol 5.

Hopefully, its not too different in terms of miles, despite VCM.

Mine is 2007.

I did find it on maintenance minder #5, but it did not mention how often. I am surprised by the 10 yr duration because most "long-life" antifreezes only claim to last 5 yrs. I guess I will just wait until being "reminded" by the minder.

10 years on the factory fill, and 5 years on refill.
