For any one doing this, do yourself a favor and go to the Honda place and get a handful of the clips used for the splash shield, (both the small ones and large ones) before starting this project. You will break some on a 2003 vehicle and it will save you time in the middle of installing the mounts.
The honda parts guy just handed them to me and said " No charge".

Bump - any reason NOT to install an aftermarket motor mount? I have a bad front motor mount on my 2004 Pilot. I can get a Beck/Arnley for $60 or a DEA for $47.

Maybe not all models are made there? I also noticed on the bottom of the mount an inlet/outlet for a vacuum hose? Is that the case in a 2004 Pilot front engine mount? Sent from my LG-MS770 using AutoGuide.Com Free App

Started today and bought an 18" extension bar and a u-joint which are a must for this project. I did not take out the splash shield as earlier posts in this thread suggested- I tackled all bolts from the top which is easier in my opinion.. Excuse the mess that is WD-40 I sprayed the night before on all 5 bolts... they took a bit of muscle to loosen up with a breaker bar. I unbolted all 5 bolts but need to finish tomorrow due to an apt. Does anybody know what this piece is sitting right next to the front mount? It is held to the frame with 2 screws but nothing else is attached to it!? I took it out so that I have more space to slide out the front mount tomorrow...

Picture of old vs new Anchor 9441 mount. Old one did not have any vacuum connections on the bottom so just put the Anchor in and bolted it in. As you can see the old one was bad.

Per Anchor customer support the Pilot has no vacuum line. The Odyssey does so this part is multi purpose.
" I received your inquiry this afternoon and yes the Anchor 9441 is the right mount for your Pilot. The mount also fits the Odyssey which requires the vacuum line. Your vehicle does not require the line. The Odyssey has experienced vibration problems at low idle and the mount is a dual chamber mount that would go to soft ride mode if there was vibration at idle. Once the vehicle accelerates, the mount returns to firm ride mode. Your vehicle does not experience this problem and is in firm ride mode all of the time. It is better for our customers if we can consolidate original parts wherever possible and we have done this in your case." Sent from my LG-MS770 using AutoGuide.Com Free App
