Default Blue Coolant (antifreeze)

Did they ever make blue coolant for the Honda Pilot?

If no, is someone really that stupid to top off the overflow reservoir AND radiator with windshield fluid? I could see putting windshield wiper fluid in the overflow reservoir since they are next to each other, but in the actual radiator. Another possibility would be they system drew fluid from the reservoir and the windshield fluid was lighter that the coolant and rose to the top of the radiator.

Should I just turkey baster out what I can and re-add the appropriate coolant or do I need to flush the entire coolant system?

Thanks

Chris

I believe Honda did/ does have a Blue antifreeze solution "Pahnol"

http://www.hondacarforum.com/honda-t...n-anymore.html

Check with whoever did the service to see if they use Pahnol and have the coolant protection level checked.

Methanol (methyl alcohol) is used as the antifreeze in most windshield washer solutions and it will mix with the ethylene glycol radiator antifreeze. Not too sure what it might do to the "internals" but most methanol windshield solutions in the retail gallon jugs dilute enough not to hurt external surfaces.
