I just did mine last week, coolers and all. The hitch and harness were not that bad. I found the trim plug tool and used that for the front bumper and that helped out soooooo much. Total was about a day for everything going slow and having my 10 year old help me.
I would recommend getting the trim plug tool it was about 26 total with shipping. it will make your install go alot faster. |

Did you buy the hitch from Honda or aftermarket? Honda wanted $800.00 to put it in without trans cooler. I checked with a local hitch companty and they wanted $330.00 but I wounder they will they will do a good job? Thank you for the info.

Lots of info here in the forums. Doing a search for it will turn up a few great tutorials. The Honda instructions are excellent, and the job is easy. Be sure you clean the threads in the frame if there's any rust or corrosion in them.
I did the whole package two weeks ago, and it was a snap. Took me a long afternoon at a leisurely shadetree pace. |

I did the install myself with all Honda Parts. I looked on the internet and called my local honda dealer for a price on the hitch. He had one in stock and gave me 15% off. After the oversize shipping charges for the hitch online it was a wash and I got the hitch on the same day I also picked up 5 small and 5 large clips while I was there. Used 3 of each putting everything back together for a tight fit. Everything else I ordered on line from a dealer in RI. The prices were very good, saved about $ 200 for the harness, ps cooler and trany cooler. Like I said the install of the complete package took aboout a day not too hard and I save the ~800 that the dealers are charging.
As a side note I just finished installing the USA Spec IPOD adapter and one of the aftermarket back up sensor kits. Ready to roll... |
