The serpentine has been squeaking for a few weeks at start up and today it began squealing loudly. Am I correct in assuming that this has an auto-adjuster and that changing the belt just requires leveraging the adjuster pulley back and slipping a new belt on?
Any tips? 3 years and 26,000 miles seems like it's early to have to change the belt? Thanks for any help, Mike |

It may not be the belt. It could be that the adjuster is going, or a bearing for something it runs around is going. Seems that you are close to ending your warranty, so it might pay to let the dealer handle this one.
