Take a look at the rear most crossmember on you cars. Surprised at the surface rust on it

Just curious, how bad is the rust? If it's a metal piece and you are able to remove it, then why not just sand it down and repaint it a flat black? Or perhaps a rust inhibitor primer then a flat black.

Just throwing ideas out there.
