Hello Everyone
Recently I have noticed that when my 2005 Pilot is cold the back up brakes tend to squeal a bit when I go in reverse and apply the break. The vehicle has 29000 miles and the brakes seem ok. The vehicle was in about 4000 miles ago and the technician indicted I had about 60% life left in the pads. Maybe I am nuts but I am beginning to wonder in the brakes in the rear are worn out. Thanks, Late49er |

Do they squeal every time you put it in reverse? Or, does it do it one time (like when you back out of the driveway for the first time in the am) ?
My '04 makes horrible grinding/rumbling noise the first time I go into reverse to leave the driveway. It is merely the surface rust being scraped off by the pads. By the time I hit the brakes again at the end of the street, the rotors are clean and no noises at all.. My Pilot is just under 50k miles and I tow a lot with it. Still on original brakes and tires.
