Default How many miles until your 1st brake job?

I am wondering how many miles it usually takes before the Pilot is due for a brake job? I realize that driving style plays a large roll in this, but just wanted to see if there was some "magic" mileage range that most folks end up getting their brakes serviced.

By the way, I have a 2006 LX 2WD with ~34,000 miles

I did mine about 65,000.

I would bet the range is 25,000 to 95,000 with driving style differences, and differences in how much pad is left.

I'll be going in this week for my 52,500 and I'll have the fronts done then. At 45,000, the service rep said they were getting close, but I just told him next time.

Front Pads at 26K The were worn unevenly about 50% left, and the pedal feel was different than when we bought it new. So I swapped out the front pads. $38 bucks, why not.

I'm at 42K and still going strong. I agree with the 25 - 90K statement, all depends on the situation.

I performed my first front brake job on 3-17-08 @ 57,355 miles...

- Replaced front brake pads.
Used Honda brake pads (part #45022-S9V-A01).
New brake pad lining is 11mm thick.
My old brake pad lining was 1mm thick.

- Replaced both front brake rotors (had slight brake pulsation).
Used Honda brake rotors (part #45251-S0X-000).

- Replaced brake fluid & bleed brakes.
Used Honda Heavy Duty Brake Fluid.

- Inspected rear brakes = 20% lining left.
I'm planning on replacing the rear brakes @ 60K

- Road tested vehicle = I'm good!!

This time, another rep told me it wasn't yet necessary. So, maybe next time (60K).

I checked mine last week at 142k km (88k mi), and the inside fronts are getting pretty low, only a couple mils left. I ordered a set of PBRs online for the front and back, so looks like i'll be doing a brake job in the next couple weeks.

53k on the wife's Pilot and I just did the fronts w/ new rotors. It looks like the rears will have to be done this summer.

Please note, she drives like Mario... brakes late and hard. She's always in a hurry...

I've been watching mine and they need to be done soon. I'm at about 93k. What kind of pads are everyone using? Can you get some that will put off less dust? I can't keep my wheels clean. Thanks Matt
