Default 06-08 owners... maintenace issues, have any?

Im looking at buying a 06 -08, and wondering what have been some of the maintenace issues youve had.

Especaily how is the ease of changing oil, sparks, filters...(Ive seen the cabin FYI).

Just currious...How is changing the roters? Is there still that huge nut that has been been keyed (pressed) in to prevent removal or full replacement of the nut.

Thanks for any information!

I had the rear HVAC transistor replaced (quite common) under warranty, along with the driver's side seat heater.

Aside from that, regularly scheduled maintenance has been about it.

I have an '06 with 27k miles on it, and previous to that an '04 that had 39k at lease turn in. None had any issues other than normal fluid changes. Filters are easy, spark plugs are something you won't need to worry about for a long time, but the plastic cover comes off to get access to most of the engine area. The rotors are held on by a small set screw which can be removed with the proper impact tool (similar to the Saabs I owned), and the pads are easy to replace.

So as far as my experience goes, these are pretty solid vehicles and maintenance is no worse than most anything else.

First tire rotation, I applied anti-seize to all the rotor set screws. This should make their eventual removal a lot easier.

I ask becuase with my 2 past Accords 92 and 94 they have had that huge nut thats been keyed in to the hub and takes an extention so you can clear the side fender (to replace the rotor).

Also has anyone had issues with the radiator or trany before the 100,000 miles?

Thanks for everyone being so helpful! This is a great forum!

i'm not sure if this would qualify as a maintenance issue, but the only unscheduled problem i've had was getting cracks in the windshield. i've already replaced the factory one and recently got a new crack on my 2nd windshield.
