Default OIL Brand

I am searching for the ultimate oil that will make Mobil 1 and REDLine Ashame.

My question is, does anyone know a hidden ultimate motor oil that out perform Mobil1 and Redline.

I am currently trying to import (AGIP) oil into USA. I heard that it suppose to be better than Mobil 1 and REDLINE. AGIP oil is use in DUCATI motorcycle. I know it kinda weird trying to pump motorcycle oil into a car but someone have to explore and find a higher performance.
In the mean while, Any help from any member is greatly appreciated

1)No!

2)Even those oils are only sightly better than conventional oil.

3)For most people that slight difference will not make any difference to them.

4)Why would you even think so?

Nothing like another oil thread!

There is no need for the "ultimate oil" in a Pilot (or most any other car in typical driving conditions) IMO. Regular oil/filter changes ~5K miles and you are set for life.

Moved from General.

Oil is oil is oil is oil. One brand of oil may be superior in one aspect while the other is superior in another. Just keep your Pilot regularly maintained and it should last quite a long time.

I do agree with you that the difference is minor and most people don't care about it. I love car with a passion and every little thing count to me. I am not trying to make my pilot last forever or out perform other pilot. I just like to experiment with car part. The only thing i own is a honda pilot and a Ducati, so i figure this is the right forum to ask.

It doesn't seem like there any other oil out there that are better anyway, but it doesn't hurt to ask. you never know, there might be a unknown country out there that make a miracle oil that will make my pilot take off smoother, last longer, manage heat better, and extent the oil change interval longer.

Thanks you those member that reply. Your opinion is deeply appreciated. I will try to post this threat on a Ducati forum, Hopefully there might be some luck there.

I guess I was reacting to the "hidden" part of the question.

The only thing I can suggest is "Snake Oil".

How many miles do you have on your Pilot? If you want to satisfy your curiosity I would recommend an oil analysis ever so often. Blackstone Labs offers this service and provides you a detailed report on how your engine is performing in relation to the oil being used.

Supposedly the German made Castrol oil is far superior to anything out there. This is not the regular Castrol made state side, and the bottle says made in Germany and meets or exceeds all the requirements for the German made automobiles on the bottle. On Bobtheoilguy website they have been talking about this oil and its outstanding properties and how it is much better than anything else out there.
I do not use it nor have I tried to find it.

I go with any 5w-20 and oil filter change at 5,000 miles. With 91,000 miles on the 03 Pilot so far no problems or concerns.

I go with whatever 5w-20 and oil filter the dealer uses at 5,000 to 7,500 miles. With 117,000 miles on the 03 Pilot so far no problems or concerns.

By the third oil change I've traded, so no worries.

krygny

-Snake oil is a traditional Chinese medicine used to treat joint pain. However, the most common usage of the phrase is as a derogatory term for compounds offered as medicines which implies that they are fake, fraudulent, or ineffective.

Thanks for your HELP Krygny but i don't think i shoud be putting this kind of oil into my PILOT. It might not work so well with the 3.5 L egine. Unless there is another snake oil that you are refering to. is there?

Amsoil claims that their synthetic is superior to Mobil 1.
