How many miles should one drive before planning to replace the PCV? Thanks in advance for your help.

I've been with Honda now for 13 years, PCV valves have never been a maintenance item.....

And in my almost 6 years of following this board, this is the first mention of it that I can recall.

Think about this though. A PCV valve is designed to allow crankcase gases to be reburned into the combustion chamber, and the balls inside the PCV valve are designed to eliminate the possibility of oil blowback into the intake. No oil blowback, and the PCV never goes bad.....hence the old "rattle" test that would tell you if the PCV is gummed up with oil.

Most cars require a new PCV about every 50,000 to 60,000 miles I believe. A faulty PCV valve can contribute to sludge formation. Seems like the Honda vehicles would need a new PCV on some sort of schedule accordingly.
