Question Maintenance Light will not reset - followed Porcedure

I have a 2007 Pilot EX with Navigation. I have my oil changed by the local Valvoline and reset the maintence light myself. It stopped resetting after my fourth oil change - approximately 23,000 miles. Any ideas on what might be causing the problem and how to fix it?

There's a known "glitch" with the 7th generation Accords that if you attempt to reset the maintence reminder WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON that it won't reset. Turn the headlights off and it works like a charm. I used to leave the headlights on all the time (and rely upon the auto shut-off feature) and inadvertantly stumbled across the issue when it magically reset one day - and I confirmed this with some folks on the www.driveaccord.net forum.

Not sure if the Pilot falls into the same category, but certainly worth consideration...

The maintenance light can also indicate some type of malfunction. The reset proceedure only clears the "maintenance due" error code.

Hook up an OBD II reader and see if there is an error code.
