Default read a lot and still not get the answer

for VTM fluid change.

lots ppl do it every 15K. But the OM said first time 7.5k NOT 15K. so u guys just skip the first one?

While since I have a 07 and can just follow the MM, problem is that ppl here said the #'6" came up around 10k, is it the first time or not.

actually my questin is as simply as: is the VTM due for the first time service (usually around 7.5k)? or second service after u bought the Pilot.

How many of u get the '6' when the first time the MM was on.

The 03-05 owner's manual says to replace the VTM fluid for the first time at 15k.

The 06 and newer models just follow the maintenance minder.

I didn't get the VTM code (6) until around 15,000 miles.
At 7,400 miles, I got the 1 A codes
At 14,500 miles, I got 1, 6, A, and B.

(I didn't see anywhere where it said to replace the VTM at 7500, unless maybe it was in the "severe" schedule.)

The MM listed the 6 on the second service between 10 and 11K miles along with the other items. Just follow the MM.

Mine came up for VTM service on the 2nd service at about 10.5K. As others have said, just do it when the MM says. You're overworrying this.

Agreed. If you have an '06 or above, do just as the MM says, don't overthink it. It will always err on the side of caution. My VTM service came up on the 2nd oil change as well, at 13k miles. The MM is a pretty smart scheme.

And yes, the drain/fill plugs are a b*tch. I ended up using my 1/2" breaker bar to loosen them. Torque wrench to tighten, of course.
