Default Recommended tire torque

Just made the tire rotation but unable to finish because I can't loose the bolt of right front tire. As I remember this is the one fix from Lucas tire when it was flat. Even I set my torque to 150 ft-lb it just click. And I end up just putting the left front to left back then right back to left front. And maybe going to local shop to loose the bolt. So what was the recommended torque for the tire? I just set to 100 ft-lb for the three tires I'd done.Just in case.

Was the wheel on the ground when you were trying to loosen it?

The correct setting is 80 Ft-Lb.

I'd heat gun it, give it some raps with a hammer, heat gun it again. With vehicle on the ground, use a 16" breaker bar and a good six-point socket and have at it. It should break loose. If the stud breaks, then at least you can get the wheel off and take it someplace to get the stud extracted.

Yes its on the ground.I used the spare so that I can changed one at a time. So what would e the disadvantage putting more than 80 ft-lb torque. And I put 100 ft-lb on the three tires.

Over torquing the lugs will dramatically increase the chance of warping your rotors.
