Default Transmission Capacity with OEM Cooler

Does anyone what the capacities are of the transmission when the OEM cooler is added as a part of the dealer installed towing package? The specs show 8.8 quart capacity with 3.9 quarts needed for a drain/fill. Thanks

Long story short....

I put my tranny cooler on a couple of years ago, being very careful not to spill any while disconnecting/reconnecting the hoses.

I started the Pilot up and drove it around the block to circulate the fluid through the new cooler.

The level on the dipstick didn't even hardly budge, maybe a 1/32" on the stick.

I though about filling the new cooler tube with fluid and then pouring it into a measuring cup to see the capacity, but never got around to it. My guess is that it is maybe 4-6 oz extra capacity.

If none is spilled during the installation, none 'really' needs to be added to make up for the extra cooler capacity. It really is about the thickness of a pencil and is probably about 5 - 6 feet overall length.

Strange.

After installation, the level on the dipstick went down a bit, and I had to add about 1/3rd to 1/2 a litre to bring it back up to where it was originally at.
