Default Need to add Power Steering Fluid (normal?)

Hello,

I have an '06 EXL w/ ~ 25K Miles...

I have had to add Power Steering Fluid twice already (using Honda Brand Fluid). Symptoms was a whining noise when moving the Steering Wheel...

Is this normal?

I can't recall the last time I have had to ADD Power Steering Fluid to any of the cars I have had. I've checked but the level doesn't change.

Normal? No

I have never needed to add PS fluid to any Honda I have owned ( 7 and counting) in the past 20 years. Have the dealer check it out for you.

My two previous Honda's ( a Prelude and an Accord) leaked power fluid from the rack and pinion but they were in the 80's. Have you checked for leaks or seepage?

I was finally able to bring the Pilot into the Dealer to check for this "leak" but they were NOT able to find a leak anywhere in the system. They just asked me to monitor it and the next time it's low, bring it in low (don't fill it back up)...

Does this seem reasonable?

Sorta off topic but has anyone flushed and replaced their power steering fluid? Is it necessary?

I have an '04 and was thinking about this

Did you happen to have had the p.s. cooler installed, because maybe it was not bled correctly or there is a leak at the lines.because normally you should not have to add p.s. fluid unless you have a leak.
