Default Maintence Req. Reset Procedure

I know I have seen a post on how to reset the dash lite that says " Maint. Req." I can't seem to find it now that mine keeps coming on each time I start the car. Can anyone help out with this info??

I believe you press in the button that changes from trip odometer/outside temp and hold it in prior to starting it. Keep holding it in while you start it and then hold it for another 10 seconds. That should clear it............but I am going by memory so you may want to check your owners manual.

...............Ah.............nevermind........... jay's got ya covered!!

Thanks Jay and Ericsgr. I will remember it now and also study the manual a little more.

That's one procedure that's used so little it's hard to remember. That, and now I've read the procedure in the Pilot manual again, I have to brush up on the Camry procedure.

One thing I like about the Pilot method - you don't reset any trip meters in the process. With the Camry, you end up zeroing out the trip A meter in the process. That's how I could tell the Toyota mechanic actually did it during my 5000 mile service.
