Hi there,
I went thru almost all the posts on this board regading air filter change yesterday and thanks for all the tips i was able to remove the screws. I don't think they were bolted on too tight, it is just they were rusted and stuck. Anyway, my question is how one can take off the top cover of the air filter housing completely. The most I could do is to lift the cover just enough to swap the filters. I want to clean the inside of the air filter housing... |

Its not so much they rust but all the vibration makes them tighten and they should be tight.
Now you should be able to unscrew them fully and they will NOT drop out. My understanding is the screw is held in place and can't be removed (easily) hence now worry about it falling in.
