Default Changing fluid in rear end

I purchased a used 2006 Pilot last fall and I just changed the oil for the first time since getting it. I had it done at a shop and the serviceman tried to sell me on the fact the Honda recommends that the rear end fluid be changed every 7500 miles (at a great bargain of only $50). I passed on it, as I had a hard time accepting that. What do you guys think and what do you do?

RTFM

Read the fine manual
I think it is 15K then every 30 k, but it has changed a few times.

That is what my dealer recommends 15K and then every 30K. Also if you go to a shop other than a honda dealer make sure they only use Honda VTM 4 Fuild.

For the 2006+, then maintenance minder system will prompt you for when you need the VTM4 fluid changed.
