Default when to change serpentine belts

hey guys, would like to know @ what mileage do we need to change out the serpentine belts..i have a squeeking sound come from that area alternator, power steering area..sounds like its coming from the pulley i see near the alternator.?..but not quite sure....info needed..Thanks in advance..

I replace the serpentine belt when I have the timing belt changed at 75,000 miles which took three years.

I thought the timing belt is due at 105K miles.

My Passat also has a 105k supposed service interval, but the mechanic I use highly recommends it in the 60-80k range as he sees many vehicles with failure in that range.

I will recommend 98k to 105k range at best.
