Default muffler

i've got a 2006 Pilot EX ...I think it's an EX.... but I know it's a 2WD...

Anyway, I only have one tail pipe coming out of my muffler. for some reason i'd think i should have two tail pipes coming out of the muffler? any thoughts?

Only the 4WD's have two pipes exiting the muffler.

If you think your 2WD Pilot should have 2 tail pipes coming out of the muffler instead of one, then maybe the other tail pipe must have fallen off or they must have forgotten to put the other one in the assembly line. You should see your dealer about this immediately. (j/k)

Seriously though, by design the 2WD Pilot gets a one-tail pipe muffler and the 4WD gets a two-tail pipe muffler.

ha ha , mystique.

reason why i'd think i should have 2 tail pipes is because the engine is the same size as that of the 4WD, so the amount of exhaust displacement would be the same i'd think.

in any event, not a big deal either way. just wanted to get a sanity check....save the jokes on that line......

mookie:

take a look underneath the car and tell us whether you see drivetrain components on the rear axle.

there are no rear drivetrain components as this isn't 4WD. I hope you're just joking. if not, again, my premise is the engine is the same engine that's in a 4WD so i'd think it would put out as much as a 4WD.

my accord isn't 4WD, yet it has two mufflers

my pontiac isn't 4WD, yet it has two mufflers....
