Default oem brake pad part number ?

i am replacing front pads .im went to honda and got new pads.when i removed old onesthe look the same besides the actyal pad. the new one s fit but the contact pad is smaller. and the numbers are a little different.
ak ns217h ff old ones
ak ns175h ef new one

does anyone have a part number?

That thread is on mdx pads. Looks like there have been changes in the pad sizes from year to year.

I changed mine in the summer and the box indicates

45022-S9V-A01 for the front



43022-S3V A02 for the rear

both made in the USA

did the pads fill the entire pad or where smaller?the origanal where larger and these where smaller.i guess all i really want to know is beiing a smaller pad is stopping gonna chage?and the original had two slots and new just one

I never mess around with brake pads. The new ones looked exactly like the old ones. I always set them back to back front to front (each pad) to make sure they are the same. Even if I was using after market I want to make sure they are right.

I am guessing you don't have the right one.

Are you saying the pad is smaller in thickness or smaller in the amount of area the pad is in contact with the rotor?

If there is a smaller area of contact, it would affect stopping. I am sure some of the experts here will chime in on this.

I would take them back even if you put them on, and tell them they gave you the wrong part.

there smaller in length not thickness there going back. i was just wondering what the correct number was so i could ask for that
