I had some warrenty work done recently, I have the 100k.
The dealer took the oportunity to give me the quote for the 90k/100k service it was $1596.00. This icluded front/rear brakes pads/turn, all fluids, plugs, belts, filters and a lot of visual inspections. Of course I jumped right on that deal! They didn't even look at the brakes, its just recommened. I need to remember to buy a MEGA buck ticket. |

do the oil change yourself = $13 plugs yourself = ballpark $60-$75 timing belt - yes, probably need a pro to do that. I'd figure $300 given they have to get in the engine. serp belt - $40 yourself but can be a pain to do. not much room to work. i'd inspect the belt yourself. if there are no cracks in it, then it's still in good shape. brakes - front and rear on a car like that should be about $400. other fluids - tranny should be $90-$120 or so from what i've experienced. master cylinder. it if looks ok then personally i'd just leave it. break fluid - honestly, i've NEVER changed break fluid in any of my cars and have NEVER had a problem. $1596 sounds way too high if you ask me. |
