Default VTM Change question

What is the retighten torque for the fill and drain bolts when you change the VTM Fluid, same as the Tranny 33 and 36 lb ft?

Changed both today, but would like to torque them to spec. Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but I know that when I tightened mine to about 35, the color mark on the bolt and diff didn't line up. I'm guessing it was tightened to at least 50 from the dealer.

The torque for both fill and drain holes for the VTM are 35 lbf-ft.

2.79 US Quarts of VTM Fluid.

Page 15-44 of the service manual.

due to the crush washer on the plug it will always go past the line when you re-tighten it unless you use a new crush washer just like the one you change when you do your engine oil.

crush washers are aluminum gaskets and are used on:

engine oil drain plug
trans oil drain plug
trans oil fill plug
VTM drain plug
VTM fill plug
transfer case drain plug(front diff)
transfer case fill plug(front diff)
engine block coolant drain plug

misc trans bolts
misc sensors
