Default brake lights

How do I get the brake light cover off? The manual says to remove the two screws and pull the assembly straight back. It feels like there is a tab that is holding the assembly in place.

Left, right, or high mount/center brake light?
There's a couple triangle covers to pop off on the high mount.

Question Brake Light

Sorry about that.

The Right Side Brake light is in question here.

How to remove it ... do I simply pull straight back after unscrewing it from the vehicle - it seems held in by something ...

Yes, pull straight back. There is a detent type of stud located high & to the left (left t/light) that gets dirt on it, making it hard to remove. Remove the two screws inboard & pull straight back.
I use a stiff putty knife or scaper inserted between the "fender" & tail light then tap the scraper toward the rear. Careful, it can pop off & dangle on the wires. Stand with your body against the light when you knock it loose.
