Just had tires rotated on the Pilot, and now have a new front brake noise when i apply the brakes while travelling downhill. It is not a squeal, but more of a dull growl.
It is the same sound that occurs when you are parked downhill, and put the car in Drive, and ease off the brakes until you are about 50% of brake-use, not full pedal, but not full release, and the car will creep along, making brake noise, as it tries to roll forward under partial brake usage. The brakes themselves seem to work fine. No noise whatsoever when brakes are not in use. Tires were rotated and the car was washed by the dealer I use. Any thoughts? I will prob take it back in a day or two if the problem is not damp pads, etc type stuff. 2004 Pilot, no other issues. |

You used the word creep when describing the noise. This makes me think there may not be a problem. I suppose I could get mine to make noise by working the brake pedal while creeping along. Do you get this noise while coming to a stop, or just working the pedal at a walking pace?
It is also possible the rotors have pad deposit on them. I'd almost have to experience it to make a recommendation. Did it go away after they dried off?
