AFAIK, the VTM4 fluid is only available from your Honda/Acura stealer. I'm not sure if there is an equivalent off-the-shelf ATF, but I'm sure someone will chime in here with the answer.

Good Luck!

I did find an online source for the AT fluid, but I haven't compared their price ($3.90/qt.) to the dealer yet. Otherwise, I think you're looking at the dealer for everything. Shop around, though -- some parts departments offer better prices than others.

If you become tempted to start substituting other products, do a search on this site first -- there are a lot of previous threads discussing which Honda fluids can be substituted and which can't.

Thanks. That makes it real easy then. Simply pick up the Honda ATF at the same time that you pick up the VTM4 fluid!!!!

some dealerships will even deliver for free....depending on how close you live and the route they are on that day but i know some dealerships even mine go as far as 2 hours away. If you are on the way to one of their deliveries, I know they will be more than happy to stop by.

it never hurts to call and try.

in my experience, honda fluid from Honda Dealerships (no substitutes) work the best in Honda vehicles, and the aftermarket just doesnt work as good. Honda fluid is also cheaper (in my experience), not talking about my discount either.

Honda Blue Antifreeze/Coolant works the best as well. Dont ever use orange/yellow...it will eat holes in your cooling system. Green is okay, but blue is best, and it is premixed for all temps.

Default price of fluid!

I called two different dealers in NYC area. The ATF is around $5.5 and VTM is around $20-26.

I think the price of VTM is too high! Do you guys know any online shop??
I know there is a source in ebay but dont know whether is good or not!

thks

A gallon of VTM at my local S/Dealer is $21. I've always heard (and it make sense) that you won't find any reputable online source for it due to problems shipping automotive fluids.

I wish Honda would sell a 3qt container. At this rate, it's change your Pilot VTM 3 times and the fluid for the 4th change is free

Are there any Honda vehicles that take a full gallon?
