Default How to clean running boards?

I have a problem with cleaning my running boards. After the Pilot is dried from a wash, there are what I can only describe as 'oily or waxy mud-like spots' all over the running boards. Doesn't matter how many times I was it, it reappears.

I use regular Meguairs (sp?) detergent for the wash. Tho, I have to admit that I've never dried it myself and always let it air dry.

Do any of you that have OEM running boards have this problem?

I'll try to take some pics and post how it looks tomorrow.

Don't let the boards air dry. You probably live in an area where there is "hard water" with lots of minerals in it, same with me. Once you give them a good wash, I'd dry them off as soon as possible. After you've dried your whole rig, I'd put some Mother's Back to Black on it and it should look really spiffy!
