Default 2006 Maintenance Schedule?

Cannot find any Maintenance Schedule on my 2006 pilot owner manual.

Should I just fellow the Maintenance Minder from dashboard?

Attach is the Maintenance Minder manual from my manual.

Item #3 says to replace transmission and transfer fluid. What is transfer fluid? I was guessing VTM-4 fluid, but that shows up in #6.

Unless there is a big difference from previous designs (Pilot and CR-V) the transfer case is an attachment to the transmission and shares fluid.

Yeah, a separate transfer case like a 4x4 pickup that has own fluid was not even a thought. Weird they worded it like they did. Wonder how many questions to the service departments will arise out of this. Even more, I wonder how many will fall for the service advisor saying the transfer case fluid needs to be changed again....

Since the reminder needs to be reset. Or anyone knows hoe to reset it?

I think page 232 in the owners' manual (pictured a few posts above in this thread) details the reset instructions.

If the documentation from the dealer is anything like the 2005, then there is a separate maintenance book that'll list everything that needs to be done at each interval.

If not, then just use the maintenance schedule in the 2005 owner's manual since nothing major changed with the Pilot. You can find an online version of the manual at....

Just found this thread because at 10k miles on our '06, got the code A16.

I had just changed the oil at a few days eariler at 10k and thought it odd to get that code now. I wasn't expecting to change the VTM fluid until 15k miles.

So I start looking for the maintenance schedule (like our 04 had)... and find there is NO maintenance schedule to be found in the OM.

Honda? I don't like the way you setup the mx on the 06 models. I don't want to wait for a code to show up to tell me something needs to be done! I like having a schedule so I can plan ahead.

Well, that means you haven't reset the maintenance minder when you changed the oil. A is type A service (oil change) 1 is tire rotation and 6 is VTM-4 fluid change.

If you don't like the new maintenance minder, just follow the 5000 miles maintenance schedule Honda has which was like ABACABAD or something like that which each character is 5000 miles I believe.

I wasn't clear in my post above. What I thought was odd was the 6 code. I didn't expect to change VTM fluid until 15k, like our '04 Pilot.

When I started digging around in the OM and couldn't find a mx schedule, I was sorta miffed at Honda.

I do my tire rotations at 7500 mile intervals and oil changes at 5k. So I'm sorta out of sync with the Mx minder.
