Default TMPS Light on/ Maint. Light On

Hello to all. A pleasure to find this website. Bought a 2005 Pilot and love it. Better then what I expected. If I go throw this out there for anyone to help, I would greatly appreciate it. First, the TMPS light came on and along with that the MAINT. light came on. My wife just called me from work and told me. Any advice? Thanks!
Also, anybody else experience a problem with the wireless headphones. Both of mine, the ear piece cracked off the the headset, so just the wiring is keeping it together. Thank again!

Hello Sandman512 and welcome to the group.

Could be a problem with one of the sensors trying to transmit to the main module, that would be a trip to the dealer. There are also low pressure warning lights that come on when one of the tire sensors find low pressure (IIRC it's 24 lbs), check the tire pressure to see if any are low.

As for the maint light, not sure if the TPMS would also signal a maint warning light. Was this at start up? while driving? after fueling up? (if after fuel up, check the that gas cap is on corrcetly). If you give us a little more info maybe someone might have the answer.

Good luck with your Pilot.

EDIT: Mods, this thread is best suited for the Problems forum.

The Maintenance light is a reminder that can be easily reset, and is triggered to come on after a certain number of miles, versus a check engine light or malfunction indicator light (MIL) that signals some sort of problem.

Never have truer words been posted...

The MIL and "some sort of problem" go hand-in-hand.

Of course I'm referring to Mother- In- Law!

How can I reset the light?

Also, sorry to all, I did not realize there was a problem forum.
