Default pilot quirks

I have a 2003 Pilot with lots of quirks and am wondering if anyone has experienced the same problems, the car feels as if a brake is on all the time,
the shifting is not smooth, the car doesn't come out of park at times unless you pump on the brakes until the brake switch clicks and if it doesn't click then you have to tilt the steering wheel, the rear air stopped working today,
2 weeks ago the drain on the rear air was supposedly clogged making the fan make squealing noises, had that fixed but now wonder if that was the actual problem. I have had the check engine light come on but the dealer can't figure out why so they just reset it, the egr valve was just replaced and the c. converter was changed about 2 months ago, there is a rattle of some sort when you go over bumps on the front passengers side of the car, and the car shifts constantly in and out of overdrive. I have taken the car to the dealer and it is always they can't duplicate the problem
so it has been in the shop all the time until they finally figure out what the problem is except for the above problems they haven't figured out yet.
the car has always been to the dealer for repairs and has had regular scheduled maintenance, and I bought the vehicle new. If anyone has any suggestions (besides get rid of it, I'm already thinking that!)please help.

Well, no additional advice here, but you said it best. Go with what you're thinking. I would never keep ANY vehicle that had that many problems. Trade it to the dealer so you can sleep better by not knowing who gets it like if you sold it privately.

If it were a horse, you'd have to shoot it! You get no points for undying loyality. Sell.

This is an excellent time to get rid of it - there are great deals out there now .

Default First Year of Current Model

This may just be a case of buying a vehicle in the first year of release.

I have had two experiences, both with Honda, where I had a lot of quirky problems with first model year cars:

I bought (and still own with 165,000 miles) one of the first 94 Accords in the first week of September 1993. I had problems that you would not expect from Honda such as air conditioner problems, plastic radiators that had to be replaced twice in 70,000 miles, exterior door handle trim that cracked and stuck out from the vehicle after 2 months and interior trim pieces that lost their "chrome" covering after a short period of time.

In 1975, my parents bought a 1975 Civic CVCC that had numerous problems with the newly designed 3 valve per cylinder head that Honda had just introduced, as well as carburetor issues.

These were both great cars that I learned to love besides their need for me to acquire a large tool set. The first engine rebuild I did was on the 75 CVCC, at a ripe old age of 17.

So far, my 2005 EXL has been "quirkless"

Rest in Peace - 2005 Pilot EX-L, Redrock Pearl (55,814 miles). Hit tree and rolled over resulting in total loss, WB Highway 4 East of Arnold, California. All 5 occupants walked away from crash.

Could also be an incompetent dealer.
