Default Did first VTM fluid change today.

Piece of cake! This was easier than changing the oil! Thanks to everyone who posted help on this. You don't need to remove the spare tire either (unless maybe you have a full size spare).

I'm going to make one change next time though. The syphon pump took too long. I'm going to look for a turkey baster and attach a small tube to it.

Get a Transmission fluid pump.

Better yet, pay the stealership $50 and not have to lay on the garage floor for a 1/2 hour.

I did my bonding by driving 3500 miles in the first 3 weeks I owned my Pilot.....my butt bonded to the drivers seat.

It's not just the $50. It's the drive across town to the stealership, being without a car for a day, the general inconvenience, and the fact that you know you were taken for a really easy job you were too lazy to do yourself. Now, for something more difficult (like changing belts), I'm with you!!

In general, I agree. but I just don't like to change my own oil, etc. Never have. Drove my dad and brother (real gearheads) nuts. I suppose I could do it, but I just don't want to.
