How long to wait for service?

For those of you who don't do your own servicing, how much of a wait do you have between when you call to make an appointment and when they can take you?

Otto hit 18,500 miles, so I called to schedule my postponed 15k service. TWO WEEKS WAIT! Fortunatlely, they have "walk-in" times for just oil changes.

I contemplated calling the stealership where I bought it, but they we generally the same when I had called previously, and were more expensive.
