Hello there, sorry to bring this off topic a bit, but I'd like to ask a fellow Chicagoan about the dealerships in the area. My mother has finally decided to get a new car (first one since her VW bug in '68!) and I know nothing about the honda dealers in the area. We are from the SW side of Chicago (Beverly/Morgan park area) and she's pretty much sold on the Pilot. So, naturally being a good son, I have took it upon myself to do the research for her and I'm left with a good impression of this car (it was this or the Toyota Highlander) and now my biggest concern is going to a reputable dealer for price and service down the road. Any suggestions, comments? This is a big step for my mom and her spending this kind of money is a big deal for her. I just want to be sure that I am armed with the right information before we take the next step. Thanks very much!

go to any dealer who gives the best price... you don't have to go back to them for service....
Grand honda in Elmhurst gives great prices..but are cheezeballs but decide over email and jsut get the car at that price not accessories etc.... Mueller honda in highland park and honda of lisle also give good prices... as for service I am in the NW burbs so my dealers would be too far for your mom...

Just be sure to read every post on this site related to buying.
Always use the email method to get prices. Lock everything down before you even talk to the sales person(s) including the total out the door price; the amount of the check you would need to bring. Never talk price in person or over the phone; dealers are much better and getting your money that you are (or any of us are) at keeping it from them. Email levels the playing field as you can take all the time you need to do the math, etc. FYI, for a Pilot in Chicagoland expect to pay WELL under invoice. -D |

I just saw this post for the first time today. Looks like I am about a month late. Does the OP still need info? Got mom a Pilot yet?
