When screwing on the oem oil filter, there seems to be an awful lot of "slop". In other words, the filter wobbles around until finally snugged up. Realizing that there are only a few rows of threads on these filters, is there reason for concern??

Not a problem at all. The filter is supposed to be a little over hand tight so a course thread works fine.
