Default 7500 maintence

Hi guys

Just got back from dropping off my 05 Pilot at the dealer, TPMS light has been on since 2 weeks I picked up my brand new Pilot, when I dropped it off to have it look at the TPMS problem, dealer said they cant not replicate the problem and advice me to bring back when it's ready for the first oil change.

After reading previous post before going to the dealer, I kinda expected things wont be that easy. Which is exactly what happened this morning, but I was quoted $129 for the 7500 miles service. I said all I need is an oil change and to fix the TPMS problem. Of course they said they will rotate the tires and all that, and the tire might have something to do with the TPMS lights being on, bla bla bla. I asked how much would a regular oil change is, and the answer is $25. So for $100 difference for a BRAND new Pilot, I think NOT. And then he mentioned that they wont clear that MAIN REQ light for me if I dont do the 7500 service....

Here is my question, since I plan to do the oil change at my own mechnic once they take care of the TPMS problem, which I hope they really can get to, is there any way to clear the MAIN REQ light if I have the oil change done else where?? And anyone else has that problem with the TPMS? It's on constantly, once I drive about 5 miles everyday and it stay on. I have searched for previous posts, but dont think there is a definite response for it.. please advice

Thanks,
