Default 2005 Honda Pilot Owner's Manual

Thanks to ryanb for scanning the pages, the 2005 Honda Pilot Owner's manual is now online here.

ryanb has also sent me a PDF file of the full manual, but it is a 30 mb file. As much as I'd like to host this file for download, I'm not sure what it'll do to the bandwidth of my personal website. I may have it for download on a limited time period ... if anyone is interested. But I'm betting that the online manual will do anyway. I've reduced the quality of the image files just a tad, for the sake of those who're on dial-up. Still seems OK to me. Please let me know what you think.

Cool, but I'm pretty sure this is the older version of the 05 manual.

The latest copy has the number 00X31-S9V-6201 printed on the outside back cover. The revised copy specifies the correct octane rating of 86 (not 91) and correct API oil (not API SJ oil), but the new manual...incredibly, still does not call for an oil change under the "Severe" schedule. Only calls for an oil filter change. Oh well.

I didn't bother with the back cover, but it says 00X31-S9V-6200 if that means it's an older version. It's quite tedious to put this together, that's using the 2004 manual html pages as my base template. Not to mention ryanb's effort in scanning. Hopefully, the difference isn't all that much to justify redoing it!

Thanks bkwon the html formatted manual looks excellent. Until now I wasn’t aware that you had the other manuals online too, I thought you were just hosting the images for kemosobe’s sticky threads. Damn you learn something new on this site everyday!

You’re right, I used the older manual because I didn’t mind sacrificing it after Honda sent me the newer version but, if someone else is wants to scan their new version manual and substitute it for the current one I have no objection so long as bkwon is ok with it.

Excellent job on the online manual. I was at work today and found it very useful to reference instead of going all the way out to the Pilot to get the paper one.

I did find one "bug", however. Nothing major, but on page 157, the "Previous Page" link points to page 157, instead of 156.

It's very minor, but I'm guessing it's not hard to fix. Thanks again for putting this together. I think the navigation is excellent.

Fixed the bug (page link error). Thanks for reporting it.

The two left tire lights are indicating that they are below 24 psi. They all should be inflated to at least 32 psi cold.

If the exclamation point light that you're talking about has a triangle around it, it's the VSA activation indicator. I believe if the tires are low, VSA is disabled, so the indicator will come on.

tire pressure low? pump more air in and see if it helps.

I was just reviewing the maintenance schedules in the 2005 owner's manual. I noticed that it lists 7500 mile oil change intervals for "Normal", but it doesn't list when to change the oil for the "Severe" schedule. It only lists changing the oil filter every 3750 miles.

I don't have my printed owner's manual handy, but imagine that it is the same.

Is this an error in the manual?
