Hi everybody,i was wondering if anyone uses this engine oil change adapter made by....sit down....Fram Sure Drain
.It's funny because i would not use their oil filters if my car depended on it but this gadget looks well made. The couplings are made of solid brass and it should make oil changes a much cleaner job.It comes with about 8" of Fram orange tubing for drain. The part # for Honda "Truck" is SD-2 for like $ 20.00 CAD (Canadian Tire ).Thank you. Dac P.S. About engine oils,i spotted this engine oil (where else but Canadian Tire) made by Castrol 5W40 Fully Synthetic (not recommended by Honda as we all know ) but what caught my attention was that the oil came from Belgium and claims to meet BMW,Mercedes and VW specs.....The reason i mention this is because somebody here on this forum mentioned German Castrol synthetic 100%.Germany,Belgium....

search the archives for Fram Sure Drain and you'll find a few threads with the information you're looking for.
My view - skip it.

I used a similar device (oil drain plug petcock) for about 6 years on two different Subarus when I was doing high-mileage commuting (lots of oil changes). Nice device - handy - never had any seepage or leaks.
Here is the brand I used. YMMV

I'm using the Fumota valve on both the V and the Pilot. It makes oil changes a breeze. I did a little research 2 years ago and found a few folks that had problems with the Fram Sure drain, leaks, slow to drain. I've heard no issues with the Fumoto. I did need to add 2 adapters to get the valve past the recessed drain area, the Fumoto site says you need 1, but I couldn't get the valve tight before it hit the pan. With a pair of $5 fittings/adapters the valve works like a charm.
