Hey, I'm in Atlanta....count me in if we can actually FIND others to play.

I bought my Sagebrush EX-L Navi from Gwinnet Place Honda. They were WAY better than Curry Honda...STAY AWAY from Curry Honda.

Default In Atlanta too!

Hi there - I live in Fayetteville (just south of the city) and just bought a my Pilot today! I cannot believe I did it - I traded my 2002 Accord V6 coupe (baby coming in November) so I guess it was a good move.

I had XM radio added tonight having used it in other vehicles but am hoping to do some add ons later.

Purchased at South Honda in Morrow and they did not seem to hit me too bad on pricing compared to some dealers. (some dealer add ons were already on the car and the whole thing was still wrapped in plastic!)

Let me know if a club or anything takes off.

Jason

Cool I'm from Atlanta too.

Hi guys.

Count me in the Atlanta group. Got mine a week ago at Hennessy.

I'm actually on the northwest side of town (Cartersville area).

Just wanted to give a quick shout at you guys. We don't live in the Atlanta area anymore but it brings back memories hearing about places like Gwinnet Place Honda and Hennesey. We bought a used Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo from Hennesey back in the early 90's and used to take my wife's Honda Del Sol there to get it serviced. Also, at one point we were thinking about buying a Honda Accord and used Autobytel.com to get a price quote. We got a great price from Gwinnet Place Honda but decided to hold out and never finished the deal.

Anyway, I greatly miss Atlanta and the friends I left there. Somebody go by and eat some Williamson Brothers BBQ for me (in Marietta on 120 just down from the Big Chicken) because I miss it greatly.

I know what you mean!

It's hard to drive by Williamson's Bros without turning into a Pavlovian dog and start drooling!

Interestingly enough, I'm sorta new to the Atlanta area. Whenever someone gave me directions in the Marietta area, it always started with "You go to the Big Chicken and then...". Well, I FINALLY saw what the big chicken was all about! I can see why it's a landmark

Do you miss the Varsity? I found the food was not all that great, but that can be a source of memories too

Cool I wanna play!

Atlanta also. Would love to play with you guys sometime. Let's find some dirt ... or whatever.

By the way - Got mine at Curry for $580 BELOW sticker (no trade) + got the accessories for free. But - it took 7 hours of dicking around and I didn't leave until 12:15 AM. The only good experience I have ever had at any dealer was Jim Ellis Saab. They have always been stallar with me. I'll miss them.

I think the Varsity is big for natives of Atlanta. I was an implant. I never really got the Varsity thing as the food isn't all that great. I only ate at the original one a couple of times, once during the 96 Olympics. We ate at the one by Town Center Mall several times after they opened it, usually just before or after seeing a movie at the theaters right beside it.

I would say that I miss the Mellow Mushroom but they have some here in Charlotte now, though they don't seem quite the same. Something missing, but I can't put my finger on it.

I'm a transplant too. Don't speak the local lingo (yet) but I'm doing better with understanding people with a hard drawl

I try to experiment with all the local cuisine if possible: Fried okra, catfish, bbq, etc. I must say though, I felt somewhat unclean and assaulted when someone at the fair offered me "bald penis"!! It took me a while before I realized that he wasn't a perv but in fact was trying to sell me "boiled peanuts"

Hopefully a soon to be Pilot EX-L owner from Columbus. I'm looking into having some decent MUD tires put on it at delivery. I never have figured out why something 4wd comes with car tires.

Default Atlanta Club

I consider myself a member of the Atlanta club even though I pay my head in Elberton, on the SC border near Athens. Love my Pilot!

Well I won't be joining the ATL Club, unless you don't mind a FSC joining. Going for something with a real transfer case, and something that desen't mind turning 285/75s with a 5.3L V8

LOL!!! I would've loved to see the expression on your face!!!

I'm going to share your little story with my brother, who's seriously considering a move to Georgia, to remind him to be prepared for some linguistic adjustments!!!
