Default Renting a Pilot

Hey L.A. area Piloteers!!

I was asked yesterday if there was anywhere in the area that rents Pilots. This dude came up to me yesterday, inquiring about my satisfaction of Pilot ownership and wanted to know where he could rent one before buying.

I would guess that it will be very difficult to find any Honda at a rental agency.

American car manufacturers have boosted their sales figures tremendously because of the rental agency. If you look at the numbers minus the rental agency purchases I would say that Honda is pretty close to leading the pack. Toyota does sell their vehicles to rental agencies which boosts their numbers as well.

Your best bet is to find a dealer that is fairly liberal with the demo unit and see if you can use it for a day.

While they might not be fleet sales, they are indeed renting Toyotas at Rental companies. And Toyota also annoced they are now renting Toyotas at dealerships, for local rentals.

I've had 3 Toyotas as rentals all hertz, Camry, Matrix and Corolla. I have seen once a Honda as a rental it was from a local neighborhood budget an Accord.

One thought would be to have rentals at dealerships, as a try-before-you-buy rental. I'd love to get behind a s2000 for a few days

Indeed. On a side note, I was fortunate enough to have the use of my Uncle's 350Z over Thanksgiving. I left a lot o' rubber on the roads of Los Angeles Harbor!!!

Nope,

I wasnt the dude that came up to Stevie B yesterday, inquiring about his satisfaction of Pilot ownership.

L.A. is a long way away from where I live.

But I am still determined to find a rental company that has a pilot to rent.
