I totally forgot that parking enforcement at LAX is keying in on vehicles not having both plates. Sucked up a $25 ticket the other day.

Just wanted to remind everyone...

How come you don't have the front plate on? Just assuming you had a rear plate.

I've seen several cars here in NY without front plates, but it's usually a sportscar or something where the bracket looks REALLY tacked on.

Or a heap with no integrity left in the bumper to attach a plate onto.

Two reasons - one is that I think the Pilot looks better/cleaner without a front plate. Actually, I can't think of a car that looks better With a front plate... lol Second reason is a personal one.

I finally put my front plate back on after seeing how these small town cops are. They nabbed us for window tint on our Accord so I figured I would save myself the trouble. I hate front license plates, but I understand the need.

What a bummer! Just for that, they sucked you up for $25.00. I think, I better look for the front plates of my beat-up 280zx just in case.

lol The worst thing about it was that I had posted (known) about it awhile ago and forgot all about it! dumbass dumbass dumbass! I was working a detail there for 3 days - got lucky the first day, got ticketed the second, and got a little smarter on the third (bungee corded the front plate to the bumper after arrival).

Presumably they confine the action to CA registered vehicles - some states, (e.g., FL ) don't do front plates...

I would also prefer to eliminate the front plate and brackets, but some cities here in Cali are pretty strict about front plates. I once got a fix it ticket for no front plates while my car was parked at a meter near the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. It used to be $10. processing and have an officer sign it off. Now I believe it's a $100. fine and a fix it ticket, so for that amount, I can live with the front plate.
