5,000 pound tow limit, it'll tow my 24ft camper, Pilot wouldn't come close!

My second vehicle is a RL and I love that truck. The Pilot is my wifes.
RL is not a heavy duty tow truck. You want heavy duty you need a diesel. Which is my work truck. Hope to see you on ROC. AndrePS

The ridgeline is just like the pilot. 500lbs towing difference. Same motor and same tranny.

The first generation Pilot had a lower tower rating. Pretty sure it was 3500lbs for most trailers and 4500 for boats.

4500 lbs for a boat, and 3500 for a travel trailer. The difference is wind resistence I guess.

2nd Gen 4wd has a 4,500lb tow limit for both travel trailers and boats. The 2wd is limited to 3,500 lbs for both trailer types.

Still to small camper is like 4800 loaded.

I would NEVER trade the Ridgeline for a Pilot, I will say that much. Honda knows how to build a pick-up. We love the shat out of it! 20.5 mpg. NEVER got that on the Pilot, except all hiway miles, 20.5 combo city/hiway

I did seriously look at the Ridgeline but ultimately decided the bed was just too short to be useful for my purposes. Wound up with a 5.3L Chevy Crew Cab that gets 21 mpg hwy/15 mpg city. I would seriously look at it again if they added another foot to the bed.
