Default Blower Motor/Thermostat/Or What?

So, several symptoms from my super reliable Honda Pilot popped up this last month. The first was a little twirling sound that came on when the heater was used. It's not the loud screaming one I've heard from youtube, though. Then my heat became intermittent. Every couple of minutes it works and then every couple of minutes it doesn't. It's cold here in Utah so when the third symptom showed itself I became a little nervous. I turn off the SUV and hear a sound as if the fan is still blowing. I admit I haven't checked if the fan is actually blowing yet or if it just sounds like it. Finally, last night when I let it idle to keep my wife warm the temperature gauge creeped up pretty high and there was visible steam (some might call smoke) coming from the front of the Pilot. Has anybody else experienced this?

on my 05, the blower power transistor failed. the parts guy at the stealer said it was a common failure. Not sure if your fan is operating or not, if it is, you may be having the air control actuator / motor failing.

I agree with Tech*05Pilot

You have a coolant leak!!!! No coolant for heater to work. Fix leak. Add coolant. All better
