Default TPMS issues

So my mom has a 2008 honda pilot and she replaced the stock wheels with aluminum wheels and in the process removed the tpms sensors(shouldn't be a big deal right?).

So she was at the stealership to get something looked at and they say that because she removed the tpms that the ABS wouldn't operate and the 4wheeldrive wouldn't kick in during slippage. So they want her to pay an ungodly amount of money to fix all of this. The funny part is that she already tested out the ABS on a gravel road stomping on the brakes and proved that theory wrong.

So my question is why a TirePressureMonitoringSystem would be tied into ABS AND 4 wheel drive. And if the stealership is just blowing smoke to get an extra penny.

Also, they seem to think that her snow wheels+tires (with studs) will not fit on the car. Which are the same dimensions as the summer set.....

Can someone give me a straight answer on what needs to be fixed and what doesn't?
